Terms of Use

These conditions govern access to Queens County Criminal History. Visiting a page, reading its material, or using a search tool indicates agreement with the terms below. Anyone who does not accept them should discontinue use of the website.

NO FCRA USE. Queens County Criminal History is privately operated and has no affiliation with a local, state, or federal government body. Neither the website nor its advertising partners provides a service for credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or other decisions regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). The resource identifies official criminal-record channels in Queens County, New York. It is neither a private investigation firm nor a consumer reporting agency.

1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site with no government connection. It does not store official criminal records, obtain records on a visitor's behalf, perform official checks, or file court documents.

Its role is to identify the Queens record holders, including NYPD, NYC Department of Correction, the Queens criminal courts, the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services, and the New York State Sex Offender Registry. Some pages also connect visitors with outside search tools.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Use of the website is conditioned on an agreement not to:

  • Use content for a decision governed by the FCRA
  • Harass, threaten, or stalk another person with information found here
  • Attempt unauthorized entry into website systems
  • Run scrapers, bots, or other automated collection tools against the pages
  • Disrupt performance or prevent another person from using the website
  • Violate any applicable federal, New York, or local law

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information from this website or a linked tool must not be used to harass, intimidate, threaten, stalk, or unlawfully discriminate against anyone. New York Correction Law Article 6-C controls dissemination and misuse of New York State Sex Offender Registry information. Registry data supports lawful public-safety awareness, never vigilantism or another prohibited purpose.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

Queens County Criminal History is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA. It does not create background checks, credit reports, or consumer reports. The same limit applies to how information from this website or a linked tool may be used:

  • Decide whether to hire or fire someone
  • Screen potential renters or housing applicants
  • Judge creditworthiness or set insurance premiums
  • Determine who qualifies for licenses, permits, or government programs
  • Do anything else that falls under FCRA rules

A legally permitted check for an FCRA-regulated purpose must come from an authorized, FCRA-compliant provider or the proper official process. DCJS Personal Record Review is a fingerprint-based self-review, not a general-public screening service.

5. No Legal Advice

The material is not legal advice. General descriptions of Queens County charges, convictions, warrants, and record sealing cannot determine how New York law applies to an individual matter. A licensed New York attorney can advise on a specific case.

6. No Warranties

All content is supplied "as is." No guarantee is made that:

  • The information here is accurate, complete, or current at any given time
  • The site will stay up and running without interruptions
  • Our pages are free of errors, bugs, or security holes
  • Results from our partner search tools will be thorough or accurate

Queens records can change as charges are filed, dismissed, corrected, or sealed. Updates may lag, and nothing published here is an official statement from NYPD, a Queens court, NYC DOC, DCJS, or another agency.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links may lead to NYPD and NYC services, Queens court portals, New York agencies, legal resources, and outside search providers. Those destinations control their own content, availability, charges, and data practices. Review their terms before using them.

8. Intellectual Property

Text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Queens County Criminal History or its content partners. Copying, distributing, modifying, or creating derivative works requires prior written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for damages arising from use of the website, its content, or any linked service.

10. Indemnification

A user agrees to hold us harmless from claims, actions, or demands caused by that user's conduct or breach of these terms, including related legal fees and costs.

11. Governing Law

New York law governs these terms. Any dispute tied to use of the website must be brought in a court located in New York.

12. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be revised. A new version takes effect when it is posted on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be limited or ended at any time and without advance notice.

14. Severability

If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, all remaining provisions continue in effect. The affected language is adjusted only to the extent necessary.

15. Questions

Questions about these conditions may be directed through the Contact page.
