About Queens County Criminal History

Queens County criminal records are divided among New York City and state offices. NYPD creates police reports, the Unified Court System keeps case files, NYC DOC records local custody, and the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services maintains fingerprint-based histories and the New York State Sex Offender Registry. This privately operated resource organizes those distinct channels so readers can identify the right official portal, address, or telephone line without mistaking one record for another.

Why We Built This Site

Queens does not follow the usual county sheriff model. It has no sheriff-run criminal records counter, independent county police department, or separate municipal courts. NYPD handles arrest and incident reports, NYC DOC manages city custody, and Queens Criminal Court or Queens Supreme Court Criminal Term holds the filed case. The New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services, known as DCJS, maintains the fingerprint repository and state registry. Because each source answers a different question, this site brings together official search links, request methods, contact details, and documented fees while preserving the lines between police, court, custody, and personal record-review files.

Only the office that maintains a Queens record, such as the court, NYPD, NYC DOC, DOCCS, or DCJS, can issue its official copy.
